play a critical role in supporting our financial planning,
forecasting, reporting, and decision-making processes. This
position requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication
abilities, and a deep understanding of financial concepts and
metrics. The purpose of this position is to provide informative
analysis and reporting packages to business leaders at all levels
of the firm in order to inform decision making, safeguard
profitability, and support the long-term growth goals of the
firm.LocationThis position is located in our Reston, Washington
D.C., or Baltimore offices and offers a hybrid work
schedule.ResponsibilitiesFinancial Planning and Forecasting:
- Develop and maintain financial models to support short-term and
long-term forecasting.
- Analyze historical financial data and identify trends to inform
future projections.
- Collaborate with various departments to gather relevant data
for accurate forecasting.
- Prepare and present detailed financial forecasts to senior
management.Budgeting:
- Assist in the annual budgeting process, including creating
budget templates and coordinating with department heads.
- Monitor actual performance against budget and analyze
variances.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve budget accuracy
and efficiency.Financial Analysis and Reporting:
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports and presentations for
internal and external stakeholders.
- Conduct variance analysis to explain differences between actual
results and forecasts/budgets.
- Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess business
performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Support ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting requests as
needed.Strategic Support:
- Work closely with senior management to provide financial
insights and support strategic decision-making.
- Analyze potential business opportunities, mergers,
acquisitions, and investments.
- Develop financial models to assess the financial impact of
strategic initiatives.Process Improvement:
- Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes and
improve efficiency.
- Implement best practices in financial planning, analysis, and
reporting.
- Utilize financial software and tools to enhance data accuracy
and reporting capabilities.Desired Skills
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex financial data
and provide actionable insights.

communication skills to effectively present findings and
recommendations.

- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business
Administration or similar field.Minimum Years of Experience
- 2 years' experience in a law firm, professional services firm
or blue-chip organization with a focus on expense management and/or
