Overview: ABA Therapist / Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Verbal Beginnings is a leading Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy provider serving children diagnosed with autism. We provide extensive training to anyone interested in learning about ABA therapy and autism and have a passion for working with children Schedule, Location and Compensation: When : Sessions typically occur 3-5 days per week for 2-3 hours, most often during after school hours between 3pm-8pm Where : Sessions typically occur in the child's natural environment (in the child's home, community, and/or school). 00 per hour, based on experience and certifications. Must commit to 15 hrs per week to be sign on bonus eligible. Responsibilities: What does my day look like as a Behavior Technician (BT)/Registered Behavior Technician (RBT): ABA therapists work under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement individualized treatment plans to address communication, behavior, feeding, ADLs, and social skills. The ABA therapist / Registered Behavior Technician Collects and records data to monitor the progress of a treatment plan and works in collaboration with the clinical supervisor to update the treatment plan as necessary Qualifications: Attributes and qualifications needed to be successful in this role: Patience, compassion and the desire to help children with autism achieve their goals Genuine desire to learn about Autism and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy Ability to work independently and collaborate with others High School Diploma required, Bachelor's Degree (completed or in progress) preferred Experience working with children Must have valid driver's license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation All ABA therapists will be required to complete or provide proof of completion of the 40-Hour RBT course.
