innovative team.The Senior Data Scientist provides justice-related
support through excellent problem solving and analytical skills
along with excellent written, verbal, and listening communication
skills. They must be detail-oriented and think logically. They have
7+ years of experience serving as a data scientist or data analyst
on complex technology implementation or data analytics projects.
They have a working knowledge of federal grant-making policies,
procedures, and administration.Arc Aspicio is currently operating
in a hybrid work environment where work will be performed at client
sites, the Arc Aspicio DC office, and remotely. All candidates must
live in the Washington, DC area at time of
employment.Responsibilities:
- Assists in the development and implementation of data analyses,
data collection systems, and other strategies that optimize
statistical efficiency and quality.
- Prepares data, implements data models, and develops data
management tools including databases to support end-to-end
solutions.
- Conducts and facilitates analyses, issues identification, risk
assessment, and decision-making processes.
- Communicates research and analytical findings, verbally and in
writing, to a variety of audiences.
- Collaborates closely with our clients to solve tough problems,
delivering outstanding client service and achieving mission
results.
- Applies excellent research, analysis, and communications skills
to quickly identify problems, analyze challenges, and recommend
solutions to our team and our clients.
- Contributes to our company culture, which promotes
client-focused teamwork, learning, and helping others to grow and
develop.Required Qualifications:
- 7 years of relevant job experience and knowledge of collecting,
developing, and interpreting key data points to support operational
decision-making in the public sector.
- Technical expertise with data models, data mining, data
cleansing, and segmentation techniques and ability to design,
develop, and implement best available models and solutions to
address challenges and requirements.
- Experience developing databases with Structure Query Language
(SQL) to develop complex queries involving joins, subqueries,
aggregation, indices, common table expressions, and query
optimization/plans.
- Strong expertise in applying pattern-recognition techniques to
large structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data sets to
automate and optimize data wrangling from disparate sources.
- Experience in data manipulation and/or statistics, using one or
more of these languages or applications: Python, R, SAS, Tableau,
AWS.
- Proficient experience in both small and big data environments
with an understanding of the tradeoffs in scaling algorithms
between differing environments.
- Direct experience with client and stakeholder engagement and
delivering work products for clients in a complex stakeholder
environment.
- Proven to be flexible and thrive in a dynamic, ambiguous, and
complex work environment and manage multiple tasks and projects
simultaneously.
- Outstanding written and oral communication and collaboration
skills and strong leadership potential.
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively remotely and
in-person.
- Desire to join a consulting firm and learn business concepts;
loves to collaborate and reach out to get involved in company
events, offerings, and special projects.
- Clearance: US Citizenship only (no dual citizenship) / ability
to obtain a security clearance.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in social science research or
related area.

learning-oriented, excited to engage.Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in grants management programs, and an understanding

$100,000 - $125,000. This range takes into account the wide variety
of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions,
including but not limited to: skill sets and expertise, experience,
education, training, certifications, contract and client
requirements (if applicable), and other business and organizational

hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and
compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances
