You will lead negotiations, develop legal agreements, and ensure compliance with evolving regulations and legislation. Collaborating with stakeholders, you will formulate planning provisions, oversee complex projects, and contribute to the City's strategic vision. Your work will directly impact our community's well-being and future growth.What Type Of Person Will Be Successful:To excel in this role, you should bring:
• Possession of qualifications in Urban and Regional Planning or equivalent acceptable to the City.
• Experience in a Planning role in Local or State Government or private consultancy practice.
• Considerable experience in administrating Town Planning Schemes (including managing Scheme Amendment Processes), preparation of Local Planning Policies, assessing major structure plans, development proposals, and Strategic Planning Projects.
• Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the role of Local Government in relation to Planning.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritise tasks and meet strict time constraints.
• Well-developed interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Possession of a Current C Class Drivers Licence.
