  • Job Details
  • Travel position for a Progressive Care Unit Registered Nurse.
  • The PCU RN monitors critical vital signs and detects changes to intervene in life-threatening or emergency situations.
  • The PCU RN cares for patients as they transition from the ICU.
  • Progressive care is for patients whose needs are less acute than those in the ICU.
  • The role includes responsibilities such as monitoring techniques, medication administration, patient monitoring procedures, and emergency response.
    • Job Requirements
    • RN license is required.
    • Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 as of 1/5/2022.
    • Exemption for vaccination must be approved for medical/religious reasons.
    • Epic experience required.
    • BLS and ACLS required.
    • Competencies in basic and advanced life support, dysrhythmia monitoring, medication dosage calculation, hemodynamic monitoring, and assessment of ventilated patients.
    • Knowledge of renal therapeutic interventions.
    • Handling of cardiopulmonary emergencies.
      • Schedule Information
      • SHIFT- DAYS - 3x12 hr shifts at 6:45am - 7:15pm with Weekends (EOW) and Holiday as needed.
      • Will care for covid patients.
      • Will float as needed.
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Care includes monitoring for pre-, intra, and post procedures.
        • Assessment and monitoring for renal therapeutic interventions like hemodialysis.
        • Recognition and management of patients requiring non-invasive O2 delivery systems.
          • Additional Details
          • NICOTINE-FREE FACILITY.
          • Candidates with past license suspensions will not be considered.
          • All time off and/or scheduling requests must be included in the submission.
          • Candidates cannot be considered if they have been employed as a perm hire at any WellSpan site within the year.
          • WellSpan requires the flu vaccine from September 7 - April 30.
