Project Manager IIAbility to obtain HHS Public TrustHybrid (Local to Washington DC)Nationwide IT Services (NIS) is seeking a Project Manager II to support the Health and Human Services (HHS) (Office). The candidate will support the Office with external partner engagement.The Office of Long COVID Research and Practice is located in the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health within HHS. The Office was established in August 2023 to coordinate the whole-of-government response to the longer-term impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Office works across the federal government and with external partners to respond to the most pressing needs of people living with Long COVID.Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership to the project team, ensure conformance to performance requirements, and assist in the overall direction of all project-level activities and personnel.
• Lead engagement with diverse partners outside the federal government who care about Long COVID, including patients, caregivers, clinicians, researchers, advocacy organizations, public health organizations, and pharmaceutical companies.
• Develop a strategic partner engagement strategy based on Office goals and priorities.
• Communicate across the federal government to ensure coordination with external partners.
• Support and facilitate communication that is targeted and effective for specific audiences.Job Qualifications:
  • Ability to obtain and retain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Ability to work well with a team in a high visibility, fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to interact with diverse groups.
  • Must be flexible in balancing competing and new priorities with strong analytic and writing skills.
  • Understanding of the public health or healthcare system/field.
