Known as an industry leader in digital space electronics, Space Systems products can be found on almost all commercial, civil, and national security space missions. Space Systems specializes in advanced, high-reliability, and radiation tolerant and hardened digital capability in multiple generations of semiconductor components. This includes ASICs, memories, processors, and power devices, in addition to larger electronic assemblies and boards.As part of the BAE Systems team, you'll be working on challenging problems, leading creative engineers, and working to deliver advanced products. Technical leadership and ownership of a project or group of projects working with the program manager and customer, and leading the entire engineering teamMonitoring the project to ensure work scope, schedule, and budget are well defined, maintained, and metDefining, generating, and reviewing project requirements and documentationPerforming or guiding technical studies to refine project requirementsProviding the coordination between resource managers/supervisors and the program team for staffing needsEnsuring all necessary process items are followed and completed, and all reviews and approvals are receivedCost account management interfacing with the engineering team, program management, and financeCoordinating the program engineering work with other stakeholder groups, including operations, quality, contracts, and finance personnel*Please note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship status*Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's Degree in Science, Engineering, or Math and 10 years experienceAbility to obtain a Secret level or higher security clearance10 years of engineering development or production experienceUnderstanding of digital electronics design applications, requirements, analysis, and architectureUnderstanding of component manufacturing, packaging, and testKnowledge of ASIC and custom circuit design, including coding, synthesis, simulation, physical design, and testUnderstanding of interface protocols and processing architecture Knowledge of EVMS, program scheduling, task codes, program metrics, and staffing determinationExperience leading cross functional/organizational teams and team building Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Knowledge of space, airborne, or ground acquisition types and programs in the DoD, GEOINT, SIGINT or Communications domainsUnderstanding of high reliability and radiation hardened electronics design and analysisUnderstanding of parts procurement and integration to meet system requirements and deliver productAbility to independently plan and execute work tasks in a rapidly changing, fast-paced environmentUnderstanding of engineering processes and procedures across all disciplinesMS in Science, Engineering, or MathCurrent TS/SCI with active PolyPay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $140690 - $239140Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
